BLEPHAROPLASTY

Blepharoplasty is popular with middle aged men and women to improve their appearance. Droopy eyelids, puffiness and bags under the eyes can make you look older, worn and tired. The surgery is done with local anesthesia and sedation on an outpatient basis (patient is not hospitalized).

Immediately after the surgery has been completed, self-adhesive strips are applied, which do not obscure the vision. During the postoperative days a certain degree of swelling and bruising is normal. The stiches will be removed in five to six days after surgery and normal activities can be resumed one week after surgery.

In a blepharoplasty, the eyelids heal remarkable quickly, scars are usually quite inconspicuous and a more refreshed look results.
